To Do: Paint

So, I have been bored and I hated the back wall of my kitchen.

I had black paint and I had white paint. I mixed them together and whatever color came out I was going to paint the back wall.

I love it!!!

My Apartment: New Rug

I just bought this rug. Remember, I am trying to bring in some orange and pink into my yellow living room. 

But I really really really love/want this one!!

I painted my closet this weekend. Yellow w/stripes.

I also had an old frame for a mirror around. I nailed it up and added my J-Crew inspirations.

Happy Fourth!

Hello Lovelies!

Sorry I was busy all weekend and neglected to blog. I am back though.

Anyhow, the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday and I have finally found someone who loves it as much as I do. (Little Z).

We had a lovely "Happy Birthday America" party at my hot apartment this weekend and it was such a hit. That was the first party I have hosted there.

Then we went and watched the fireworks on the South Lawn of the White House with some friends. It was THE most amazing experience ever!

Then my Aunt and Uncle were in town so I had to show them around (see pic above). It was so great to see them! I love visiting with family.

Also my BFF and her little sister were in town and came on some tours with us (see pic above). Then last night (or early this morning) we packed up my BFF for her move to Arizona. We got her out the door and on the road by 1:00am this morning. (sadface!)

I also got a lovely treat in the mail from my swap buddy this weekend. It made my day! I am sending yours this week. Promise!!

To Do: Upgrade My Entry

This is my drabby entry way. It needs a makeover.

I have added a cute mail box and a big flower pot. But...

I was driving by a cute house the other day and I loved their yellow door. 

What do you all think about me painting the door the yellow from the living room?

I think that it would look really cute. I need to talk to my landlord about it. And I want to buy some cute numbers for the address. I think it will make the whole place look amazing.

To Do: Apartment Update

As you may remember... I have been in the mood to update my apartment. Well, the old roommates moved out and left the apartment looking pretty boring so it inspired me to get my act together. This weekend I painted some furniture black and finished up the living room. It looks amazing. (Ill add pictures soon!!!)

Living Room: (things we still may need)

Laundry:

Bedroom:
I really need a new bed. I am starting to feel claustriphobic and my back is always killing me. So... how about a fullsize bed (either this one or this)

paint (not sure yet on the color, hot pink, bright green...)

Bathroom:
I was thinking about bringing in another color to my white and navy blue bathroom, originally I was thinking that this was a good color but I bought this hot pink shampoo the other day and I realized that white, blue and hot pink would be so fun for a boring old bathroom. (Plus, I already have a super cute hot pink Breast Cancer Awareness toothbrush!

Stairway: I want to add a little shelf right next to the door and just tidy up the area.

craving a change

so there is a lot changing in my apartment so why not spice it all up a little more. my bff and I spent the weekend scavenging the DMV (for those of you not familiar with the DC area that means the DC/Maryland/Virginia area) for great deals on furniture for our bare apartments...
