Things I Learned Today:

- Sunday is the sabbath and the sabbath is for resting. I love doing nothing on Sundays. I love it.

- Men love it when you treat them like dirt. The worse I treat some guys, the more they love me.
- Love and Life are very similar. They're endings too - when someone dies you morn the company, the same goes for an end of a relationship.
- I over-cook chicken when I make it.
- It is important to buy things that you love and not just things that you want. I would rather spend a little extra money and buy things that I would cherish all my life.
- Peanut sauce is delish.

My last post...

was pretty vague.

I hate when my friends post about something going on in their life but they just hint at it, and they never tell you what is going on. I read blogs so I don't have to put in any effort into our friendship. I kid. I kid. (Sorta.)

Anyhow, I started to think about how I can expand on my last post. Here is what I came up with:

In the Pursuit of Happiness, the son tells his dad this story about having blind faith. It goes a little something like this...

Hey dad, you wanna hear something funny? There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said
"God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he
said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man
told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats,
you dummy!"

The point is that sometimes you have to have faith and sometimes you have to take care of things yourself. So I ask myself... is God sending me boats right now?

Anyhow, I have been thinking about this recently and then I went out to dinner with my friends tonight and my fortune cookie says...

Many possibilities are open to you - work a little harder.

So... maybe I should wait... for one more boat to come my way.

To Do: Have Faith

Don't Ever Fade Away, originally uploaded by Lady Vervaine.

I feel like I am walking in the dark.

I feel that if I have faith and walk in the dark now, Ill see that light at the end of the tunnel.

Hopefully soon rather than later.

(This is good news I am waiting for and I am not trying to be deep or poetic. promise!)

Blog Roll...

I am added pretty much every blog I have ever visited to my blog roll and well... I am mildy intimidated by it now.

Oeee, I must check every blog that I have on my blog roll. Everyday!

Anyhow, any other suggestions of blogs that I should add? Let me know if you have some fun ones!

Talk soon.

White Party

I am headed to a White Hot Party tonight at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.

I planned out a couple outfits last night and with my tan skin and dark hair the white looks pretty fierce.

Come one, come all.

To Do: Learn to Row

Crew Pier, originally uploaded by Matt Stevens.

This Saturday I participated in "National Learn to Row Day" down at the DC Waterfront.

No... Not the nice DC Georgetown Waterfront... the ghetto Anacostia one. Naw, it wasn't bad. The Anacostia Community Boathouse is pretty nice.

I loved learning to row. I have been meaning to do this for awhile. Good workout. Hot day.

I watched The Darjeeling Limited last night... and fell in love.

The images in the movie are amazing. Each shot embraces color and emotion. The whole movie was just amazing. I suggest that everyone check this one out.

Tornado Warning

There is a tornado warning in DC.

Urgh!

Back!!

Georgetown, Washington DC, originally uploaded by Dennis Koomen.

Sooo... I am back in beautiful DC. Only problem... DC is yucky today.

The weather is sticky and muggy and it sure does a toll on your curls today. Urgh.

Anyhow, the Congressional Picnic got pushed back until tomorrow so I don't have to worry about looking nice today. (Thankfully!)

I loved the Cape. I will post some pictures of it. No... I will type up a whole Cape post. That's what Ill do.

Anyhow, I have a couple stories to share. Stay tune...
