To Do: Eat, Drink and Be Merry

Just for the record... I am not getting married anytime soon.

Still need a crucial part of that equation.

But, I haven't been able to quit thinking about these images.

You see, I am a pretty conservative gal. I wear pearl studs everyday, I only like things that are black/white, and I everything must be simple and clean in my life.

But I want to marry my best friend. (just need to find him)

And I cannot stop thinking about having a wild wedding someday.

Not too long ago I watched Rachel Getting Married (which is totally a weird movie) but I am just in love with their wedding. Everything about it actually. But I mostly love the reception. I want a reception like that. Showgirls are a must. And I am not kidding.

And I also can't quit thinking about this circus-themed wedding that Joanna posted about on Smitten.

I love the fact that it looks fun and simple.

I love the food idea!! Just simple good ol' food.

I want a wedding that is full of love. And I want everyone to have the most ridiculously amazing time. I think weddings should be about love and not money.

Currently Loving:

I just love this post by Le Love. Just a little re-posting going on here.

Things I loved about you

The way you stared at me when I close my eyes, then you closed your eyes and I stared at you

How perfectly your hand fit in mine

How you seemed so strong on the outside, but I could tell you were so sweet on the inside

The way you said I love you, because you sounded so shy

How during that first time we were alone, when we held hands and talked for hours and finally kissed after so long

How you were so interested in my life and what I was doing

How you remembered everything I said to you perfectly

When you texted me randomly (as little as that may be)

When you told me I’m one of the most perfect girls you’ve ever met

How you were too shy to hold my hand, in case I didn’t want you to

The awkward moments - because they weren’t really awkward at all

Sitting at the table with your family and enjoying myself and you

Taking photo booth pictures with you and you made the best faces I’ve ever seen

Getting high together and making weird animal sounds as we walked back to your house

The way you made me feel after we made out for an hour

How you told me I looked great every time we saw each other - despite how untrue I thought it was

How I sat on your lap when we went on the computer together, and your legs fell asleep but you didn’t care, as long as I was sitting that close to you

How even on the coldest nights, you lent me your sweater

How much you have passions for things

Your laugh/smile

How you always made fun of me - I secretly loved it

What a loser you are, because I am too

How you admitted defeat and say sorry when I wouldn’t let you win a fight

The way you made the butterflies in my stomach flutter every time I saw your smile

How much you made me love you.

But now they are things of the past, since we broke up. I’m slowly getting over every one of these ways I loved you by replacing them with things I don’t like about you. I don’t think it’s working too well, though, because I know they will each still be in the back of my head because you were my first love and I will never forget you or a single thing that I loved about you. And truthfully, I still love most of those things. I’ll miss every one of them.

Yes, I have been hiding away catching up on what all the buzz is about. Mad Men is amazing. It is so fun to see how people used to live and to understand why somethings are the way they are today.

I love me some Don Draper. Yummy.

Wanna see how I turned this:

Into THIS:

Awesome!!

To Do: Read Generation Kill

Read the book.

Its a fun read. Kinda dark, but that's the content of war I guess.

It gives such a great insight into the war, the people and the troops. I think it is something that we all need to understand.

Best part is the new afterward, last page:

"Five years into this war, I am not always confident most Americans fully appreciate the caliber of the people fighting for them, the sacrifices they have made, and the sacrifices they continue to make. After the Vietnam War ended, the onus of shame largely fell on the veterans. This time around, if shame is to be had when the Iraq conflict ends- and all indications are there will be plenty of it- the veterans are the last people in America to deserve it. When it comes to apportioning shame my vote goes to the American people who sent them to war in a surge of emotion but quickly lost the will to either win it or end it. The tong troops I profiled in Generation Jill, as well as the other men and women in uniform I've encountered in combat zones throughout Iraq and Afghanistan, see among the finest people of their generation. We misuse them at our own peril."

Sorry that may offend some, but I love our country and I love our troops. I work with them a lot and I am always weary of their futures and that we will always be there to support them after they gave so much for us.

Please read the book. I loved it. Look how many pages I dog-earred.
